Terrain Track

A walking and running activity combining terrain-aware calibrated altitude, grid references, route recording and detailed diagnostics. Great Britain comes first, with further regions planned where suitable public terrain data is available.

About Terrain Track

Roadmap

Where things may go next.

Directions, not promises or release dates.

Full-screen glances

Make parkrun barcodes and ICE details larger and easier to use, and unlock richer position and GPS diagnostic views, when the community Glance interaction API becomes available.

Outdoor Position

Explore a field-focused Glance for locally relevant coordinates, calibrated altitude and GPS accuracy, with richer pressure and calibration detail in a future full-screen view.

GPS Diagnostic

Develop a technical Glance for understanding fix quality and update timing, with expanded detail when full-screen community Glances become available.

Event Marker

Explore a quick timestamp marker for correlating naturally occurring events with recordings from external sensors, beginning with Movesense Flash.

Terrain Track

Prepare terrain data delivery for a future release, beginning with Great Britain and expanding where suitable public data exists.

Route guidance

Explore route import, breadcrumb guidance and off-route cues, subject to the APIs available to community activities.

OS Grid reference

Keep refining fix information and presentation while preserving a quick, simple glance.

Yoga

Make modest refinements as real-world use suggests them, without losing the activity’s simplicity.
